Ashley Stewart

3.01.2016

I am sooooo excited to share with you my recent collaboration with Ashley Stewart! Myself and 4 other bloggers teamed up with the premier plus brand to celebrate the launch of their spring dress collection in extended sizes!! Many of their customers had been asking the brand for more size options and they listened! The new collection, which went live today, will carry sizes 12-32!!

I think that it is so important for the plus size community to feel they have options, when shopping for items that make them feel their best, and that means venturing beyond the traditional 1x to 3x. The collection features denim dresses, patterned shifts, striped jumpsuits and more! I rocked their Hanky Hem Denim dress and Chain Lace-Up dress in my looks. Both dresses were a complete hit! I loved the asymmetrical hem and movement of the denim dress and vibrant color and fit of the lace-up dress.

Left to Right: Manfattan | Stylish Curves | Plus Size Beausion | Little Lime Dress

Plus Model Mag did the honors of shooting the looks for me and Alissa Wilson from Stylish Curves, Beck Delude from Manfattan, Megahan O’Conner from Little Lime Dress and Chardline from Plus Size Beausion. They did such an ah-mazing job and I loved every moment of my experience. So much love, so much style and so much fun!

Check out the new line here!
Much love,

Denim x Denim

7.02.2015

Denim on Denim is currently on trend but can easily be viewed as a fashion classic.

I took a different approach to the trend by rocking an ombre chambray demin top from Charlotte Russe Plus. The color gradient is outright gorgeous and would look great with any pair of skinnies.

I added a black fringe shoulder bag (I'm obsessed with fringe! lol) and sexy strappy heels to add some edge and instant glam to the look. This is the perfect outfit for a casual dinner date with the girls or the boo ;)

Friendsmas!

12.15.2014

Top: Older, I believe I got it from @fashiontrendinc | Skinnies: Gifted | Heels: Rainbow | Belt: @labellacouture1

So IDK if this only applies to me and my friends? But it seems like the older you get the less presents you get for Christmas?! One day you wake up and your running around like a chicken with his head cut off looking for gifts only for Christmas day to come around and you have one gift, if you’re lucky lol. So, with this realization, a few friends and I decided that we would do our own gift exchange each year and call it “Friendsmas”. Last year, went up to the snow and exchanged gifts. This year, we did a painting over drinks. Which was SO fun! I can’t believe I made my painting because I am truly artistically challenged. Stick figures? Yeah, that’s all me lol.  To say I had a BLAST would be an understatement. We may not spend a lot of time together but when we do it’s always good times. Especially if drinks are involved ;)

For my outfit of the night, I wanted to be as comfortable as possible but still cute. So I opted for a non-restricting flowy asymmetrical top that I love! It hides the belly and has a flattering cut. Perfect for those nights you don’t want to suck it in or wrap it tight lol. I paired the top with these super cute leopard skinnies that my mom gave me. Thanks Mom! And finished off the look with my three-toned Zara inspired heels and oversized gold plated belt.

I loved the way the look came together but loved the time spent with friends even more ;) What are some of your Christmas traditions?

Much love,

Concert Flow

11.10.2014

Tank: DD's | Jeans: @FashionAvenuePlus | Flannel: Thrifted | Chucks: WSS | Watch: MK
You ever feel like you have no idea what to wear to a concert? I know I did! You want to be cute…but not overdressed and, most importantly, you also want to be comfortable. No one wants to be stuck at a 2 hour concert with their feet hurting or wearing something that is too tight. I made that mistake one time. I went to a rap concert in a full bodycon dress and heels. Worst mistake ever! Plus the concert was standing room only! I felt extremely over dressed and just outright uncomfortable.

So, this time around I learned from my past mistakes and kept things cute and casual. This night, I was going to see B.O.B and Kevin Gates at Club Nokia. It was standing room only. It’s sort of like a club environment. So, I decided to wear a simple black tank with distressed jeans. I made the look more trendy and edgy by adding a waist wrapped flannel and chucks.

I loved the way the look came together and, more importantly, I could dance all night!

Off The Fringes.

Shawl: Rainbow | Top: DD's | Jeans: @FashionAvenuePlus | Heels: Reflections | Clutch: Thrifted | Watch: MK

There's something ultra-chic, but oh-so-casual about a fringed shawl. My basic black and grey look was instantly elevated by adding this super trendy piece.  It doesn't take a lot to rock this trend…which is, kind of, the beauty of it. Throw it on for instant style upgrade.

To make it work, just keep it really simple; you don't want to add too much to your look or make things too busy. So keep things slim and minimal— and let your fringe-trimmed shawl be the spotlight!

Head Poncho.

Poncho: DD's | Jeans: Fashion Avenue Plus | Flats: Rainbow | Purse: Aldo | Watch: MK | Shades: Ebay

Hey loves… I just wanted to share with you some of the photos from my recent trip to New Orleans and also share with you my current obsession with this poncho! I knew that I would be traveling by foot, a lot, and was  looking for something cute yet comfy. I came across this poncho from DD’s for only $5.99 and almost passed out! I don’t know if it was on clearance or what?? But I snatched it up so quick it was ridiculous! Definitely what I was looking for…comfy yet stylish and polished.

The poncho provides perfect layering potential with a little bit of a bohemian vibe — the look is either the ideal lightweight piece on a fall day or a great layering piece when the weather calls for bundling up. Capes, fashion blankets and ponchos will definitely be on trend this fall so keep a look out!

Much love,

New New.

Top: Lane Bryant via www.payless4brands.com | Skinnies: @FashionAvenuePlus | Heels: Zara | Clutch: Thrifted | Watch: MK

Not everyone could afford name brand clothing. I know, for me living in California, the cost of living could get you down in itself. So, finding cute fashionable clothes on a dime is my specialty lol. I know you ladies are always asking where I shop and get my clothing from. So, when I find out somewhere NEW I can’t wait to share! Today’s look is featuring Payless4Brands, an online store that carries name brand clothing for plus and straight sizes.  Because their items are brand-new overstock items, they carry names like Lane Bryant, Catherines, Fashion Bug, and Express at a fraction of the price.

In today’s look, I am rocking a Lane Bryant striped button-down that I received recently from the company. I decided to pair the top with my favorite skinny jeans and to add a little splash of color and contrast, I finished the look off with red Zara heels and a red thrifted clutch.  I received a few items and, honestly, they all were ah-mazing quality. I will be posting more looks over the next couple weeks featuring the items I received. I hope you liked this look and stay tuned for more!
