Work to Happy Hour

6.02.2014

Dress & Cardigan: Rainbow | Heels: Zara | Sunnies: Ebay | Purse: @fashionavnueplus

Work wear…weekend wear…pretty different right? Well, not necessarily! I love picking those pieces that transition well in different environments. For instance, (hence the title) I wore this dress to work on Friday and then straight to Happy Hour. I just removed the cardigan to lighten up the look. I also could have added  some bracelets, a brighter lipstick or a different color heel to give the look a fun spin. I didn’t have any of that on hand so I had to work with what I had. I could also wear this look to the beach over my bathing suit with some flats and a big slouchy bag. This summer try to look for multifunctional pieces that you wear to fit the many things going on in your life!

Much love,

Hey loves! Hope all is well. I just wanted to share an instagram post from last weekend that never made it to the blog. Anyone who blogs know that sometimes it’s hard to stay current on all social media…but the blog is where it started so I am definitely going to try to start responding more to your comments and questions. Sorry for my delinquency Lol How do my fellow bloggers juggle? Inquiring minds want to know lol

Anyhoo, I wore this dress to see rapper Problem (@problem324) at the House of Blues. My girl @504_2_90210 surprised me with tickets because she knows I love his face! Lol She’s the sweetest...thanks boo ;) I decided to wear a black and white striped bodycon dress from @labellacouture1. The stripes were very flattering to my figure and reminiscent of zebra stripes. I paired it with my trusty red Zara heels and red thrifted clutch. Though I LOVED the dress and the way the look came together I felt totally overdressed for the concert lol. Next time, I’ll keep it simple with shorts or something ;)

Much love,
Tiff @lacenleopard

Mirror Love.

1.09.2014

Hey boo’s! I hope the new year is off to a good start for you! It’s the 2nd week into 2014 and whether you made resolutions or not, don’t forget that you could do anything you set your mind to; And bettering yourself should be a constant goal, not just the first 3 months of the year ;) I bring this up because I constantly try to revisit this same goal: To do more things out of LOVE.

That’s why when I saw this sweater that had the words “love” written on it, mirrored, I felt that it was perfect for me to bring in the New Year with. I decided to pair it with some acid stonewash jeans and my FAVORITE Zara heels. I finished off the look with chunky gold jewelry, midi rings, sparkly eyes and nude lips. I loved the way the look came out, and feel like it was “Edgy with a message” lol. I wish you all the best, as always, and I’ll leave you with this:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…

Much love,
Tiff

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year boo's! This year has been wonderful for me! Going on my 2nd year blogging I would have never thought that I would have accomplished this much. But they say when you do what you truly love the blessings will come. I am feeling so optimistic and excited going into this new year of life and fashion. I am striving to be a better me and this outfit represents how I want to be going into 2014: classy, simple and polished, yet vibrant and fun! I thank you for all the love and support throughout 2013 and, hopefully, the years to come. Love y'all and I'm wishing you the best in 2014!!!

Much love,
Tiff

Hey boo’s! Hope the week is going well and if it’s not, hang in there its almost FRIDAY! So…without doing it on purpose, it seems like the theme for this week’s posts is black, white and red. I wore this outfit out to Eva Longoria’s restaurant BESO in Hollywood. Very “She-She Foo-Foo” spot as my friend Tyra would say lol. I ordered a lobster quesadilla and they came out with the smallest entrée I’ve ever seen! I couldn’t do anything but crack up laughing lol. Matter of fact, my whole table started cracking up when they saw my order…so you know I had to include a picture lol. Nonetheless, I had an amazing time with great friends, so what more could a girl ask for? For my night on the town, I decided to mix up some prints with a sheer polka dot top, striped knee-length skirt and added a pop of color with my 3 toned Zara heels. I finished the look off with chunky gold necklaces and a chunky gold bracelet. Tip: When mixing prints I try to stay in the same color family (i.e. black and white) to add some coordination and cohesiveness to the look.  Of course, you don’t have to do this. But, it could be a rule of thumb for those who are traveling outside of their fashion comfort zone ;)

Much love yall,
Tiff

SAME FIT DONE THICK

Same Fit Done Thick Inspired By:  Leigh Anne Pinnock of  Brittish Girl Group Little Mix

Hey lovlies! Hope you all had a FAB weekend as we head back to the grind :) These past couple of weeks have been AMAZING for me. I have attended different fashion shows, met bloggers I LOVE, designers I admire and more. This night I was attending the Style Fashion Week fashion show with friends Tyra and Ebony. I was definitely excited as I had never been to a fashion show this big. Draya from Basketball Wives LA, the Jenner Sisters, Lindsey Lohan and others were all in attendance.

For my night on the town, I decided to wear this Typography Midi Dress from Asos that I absolutely LOVE with three-toned Zara heels and a Vingtage red clutch. This dress was a definite HIT! It fit like a glove and hugged my curves in all the right places. Everyone seemed to love it and gave me a lot of nice compliments ;) I also saw that Leigh Anne Pinnock from the girl group Little Mix had previously wore the dress as well. Hence, another Same Fit Done Thick! I just love that us thick, curvy and plus size women are proving more and more everyday that we should never be counted out!

Much love,
Tiff

Match.com

4.02.2013

Remember when we HAD to match everything head to toe? Lol. Everything HAD to be corrrrdinated…it’s amazing how style has evolved and fashion is full of being playful with mixing colors, prints, textures and patterns. I love the direction fashion is heading, but this night I decided to go back to the old school and match from head to toe...yep down to the eyeshadow! Lol. Just another log in my fashion journal as I experiment with past and present fashion trends. I wore this outfit out for a night on the town with my girl Ericka for comedy, drinks and sushi at the Geisha House in Hollywood. We had a ball! And, as I think about it, this outfit is actually another “Whole Fit From The Thrift” (I just realized that as I was typing lol) except for the Zara heels. I found the skinnies at goodwill for $2 and the patterned top and purse at the Quality Thrift. The top was $1 and I believe the clutch was $4. So yes, you’re looking at a $7 dollar outfit ;) So what do you think? Match, mix it up, or a little of both?

Much love,
