Hey boo's! I hope that you had a great weekend as we head into the new week. This week I had entirely too much going on for my liking but I am blessed and will not complain lol. I am trying to reflect more on the positive than the negative these days and one of the highlights of my weekend was celebrating my Doot's birthday. We went out for dinner and drinks to celebrate and  I decided to wear The Carmella Dress that I received from La Bella Couture Boutique. TCF Turns 5!

Hey boo’s! So…this weekend was nothing short of FABULOUS honey!! When I heard about The Curvy Fashionista’s 5^th year blog anniversary party, #TCFTurns5, I HAD to attend.  I briefly met Marie during LA Fashion Week a few months ago and she is, honestly, one of the most fun and down to earth people that I have met. Definitely, comfortable in her own skin and dripping with FIERCENESS! The invite said “Dress to Impress” So you know I had to come with my “A” game lol. I decided to wear A skin-toned bodycon dress with sparkly gold detailing {LOVED!} and three-toned nude, black & brown heels. I finished off the look with bold statement pieces: A faux fur collar, chunky gold jewelry and a metallic leopard clutch. Face was BEAT by my boo @makemeupgurl ;) I LOVE the way everything came together…nobody could tell me nothing chile!! Lol

The event took place at LA Live in the VIP area of Club Nokia and everyone looked wonderful, very classy and chic establishment and scenery. I was also happy to run into a few friends in the blogging world as well as plus size modeling. Really, to say I had a good time would be an understatement. I can’t wait to attend more events, meet new people and just have some fun in fashion! Let’s go 2014!

Happy New Year boo's! This year has been wonderful for me! Going on my 2nd year blogging I would have never thought that I would have accomplished this much. But they say when you do what you truly love the blessings will come. I am feeling so optimistic and excited going into this new year of life and fashion. I am striving to be a better me and this outfit represents how I want to be going into 2014: classy, simple and polished, yet vibrant and fun! I thank you for all the love and support throughout 2013 and, hopefully, the years to come. Love y'all and I'm wishing you the best in 2014!!!

Sweater Weather.

Sweater & Jeans: Fashion Ave | Boots: Previously owned

Ok, so I'm not a huge sweater wearer...but its friggin' freezin! And I figured unless I want to go for a layered look or wear a jacket...a sweater is my best bet lol. Recently, I've been getting into them more though... with all the cute designs and prints. Like when I saw this one, with the cut outs in the sleeves, I had to have it. It was definitely the details that drew me to this one. Not to mention, its soft and comfy. I decided to pair it with some dark blue skinnies and taupe lace up boots. I finished the look up with simple gold hoops and gold knuckle rings. Which are my fave! Can't wait to get some more. So, what do you plan to wear more of this winter season?

On Trend.

Happy Hump day yall! Friday is almost here! And what’s even closer is Halloween. Man…this year is going by so fast. I can’t believe that its already holiday season! You know the rest of the year is going to wiz by lol. So, speaking of seasons, this fall PLAID and/or TARTAN is definitely trending. I wouldn’t say that I ALWAYS follow trends, but I thought this trend was cute and brought back the 90’s vibe I grew up in, so I decided to try it. This day I was hanging out with my BFF @curlynu82. We were going to lunch and shopping so it was a perfect day to be casual, yet a little trendy. I decided to wear an emerald green top (emerald is also trending), black liquid leggings, and jean cut off vest. I finished off the look with a plaid top around my waist, my favorite half tint shades and black combat boots to add a little edge. I promise…this was like my most comfy outfit to date! Hey lovlies! Hope you all had a FAB weekend as we head back to the grind :) These past couple of weeks have been AMAZING for me. I have attended different fashion shows, met bloggers I LOVE, designers I admire and more. This night I was attending the Style Fashion Week fashion show with friends Tyra and Ebony. I was definitely excited as I had never been to a fashion show this big. Draya from Basketball Wives LA, the Jenner Sisters, Lindsey Lohan and others were all in attendance.

For my night on the town, I decided to wear this Typography Midi Dress from Asos that I absolutely LOVE with three-toned Zara heels and a Vingtage red clutch. This dress was a definite HIT! It fit like a glove and hugged my curves in all the right places. Everyone seemed to love it and gave me a lot of nice compliments ;) I also saw that Leigh Anne Pinnock from the girl group Little Mix had previously wore the dress as well. Hence, another Same Fit Done Thick! I just love that us thick, curvy and plus size women are proving more and more everyday that we should never be counted out!
