Hey loves! Issa #FlashbackFriday! A couple weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to go to LAFW to attend the Bishme R. Cromartie show. I was super excited but had no idea what to wear, per usual. I knew that I wanted to be cute and comfy, but that just sounded too regular shmegular for a legit fashion show!

Then, I thought of this mutli-color fur coat that I got from GS love! It was PERFECT! It allowed me to look fashionable without me having to prop it up, stick it out and suck it in lol. I paired it with a white bodysuit and black skinnies from Fashion Nova and a floral crossbody bag from Boohoo. I drew inspiration from these two fabulous pictures on Pinterest :) Who says that us big girls can't rock the same styles as our smaller fashion sisters?! #SamefitDoneThick

Hello loves! It feels like it has been so long since I've blogged a look. But, it hasn't been without good reason. I recently purchased a home! I have been going through the escrow process, purging old items, packing and moving.  It has been crazy, to say the least. However, I am getting back to normal now and will have much more time to bring you new looks and chat!

Today's look is all about color and summer. I got this top from Ashley Stewart a few months back and I am absolutely in love with the flow and color of it. It's loose fitting and free and the color demands your attention. The light fabric made the long sleeves ok in the heat and I finished the look off with some DIY cutoffs and leopard heels for a pop of print.

This is one of my favorite summer looks so far. It's easy to recreate yourself and it's fun and chic all wrapped into one!

Hey boo's just stopping by with a little outfit inspo. This year I worked media for the BET experience surrounding the awards.It was full of fashion, music and beauty. I attended the BET awards before but never helped behind the scenes, so this was special to me. I knew I wanted something chic to wear, but it was more important for me to be comfy as I knew I was going to be ripping and running.

So, I ended up with this! A super cute crop set that I got from a plus size store I never heard of, until recently, called GS Love. I stumbled across them while surfing Insta and ended up having a little online shopping spree lol. They have some cute stuff and they have in-store locations --one down the street from my house. Can't wait to visit!

Basic Instinct

I think it's pretty safe to say that I love a good bodycon dress. But, an off-shoulder bodycon dress is my ultimate fave! It's something about the cut and the little peek of shoulder that just does it for me. The dress that I am rocking in this look is from Plus Size Fashionz Boutique. To say I love it is an understatement.

It hits right above the knee, has an amazing fit and the Flintsone-like print does wonders for camouflaging the tummy area. I kept the look monochromatic and complimented the dress with a statement fringe bag from Forever 21 and laced-up pumps from Go Jane. This is a definite go to look for a fun night on the town with the girls or a sexy date night with the boo :)

Relatively Simple

One time for an entire outfit for $30...that's NOT a dress! It's still in the high 80's and 90's in CA even though we are officially in Fall. So, to whip out "Fall" ootd's has honestly been a little challenging with this heat. So, you will probably be seeing a lot of "Fall Transition" outfits until this weather actually transitions lol. 

Even though today's look is relatively simple, I am absolutely in love with it for that exact reason! Nobody wants a high fuss outfit in this heat. A lightweight drawstring tank and perfect fitting jeans does the job. This entire look came from Rainbow with the exception of my boots that I pulled from the archives of my closet lol and shades that I got from the Del Amo fashion center.

I think the boots gave the look a little edge and ventured away from your norm and also added some Fall flair. Girl you couldn't tell me nothing in my Rainbow outfit. I was serving some Jenny from the block realness honey! ;)

I used to literally be terrified of wearing jumpsuits. Probably because it is hard to "hide" and "conceal" with these type of pieces. Then one day I woke up and didn't care. Didn't care what others thought, didn't care that I had a pouch, didn't care that I couldn't hide. I just wore what the hell I liked. And that has made all the difference ;) Happy Labor Day weekend my friends and wear what you want!

Fit & Flow

Today’s post is all about paisley prints & handkerchief hems! I am absolutely in love with the fit and flow of this dress. I’m all for a good bodycon, occasionally, but sometimes you want to just relax and not whip out the shapewear and girdles. This dress, from Rainbow, is perfect for those kind of days –brunch with the girlfriends or a casual dinner date.

Since this piece is full of prints and color, I decided to keep my accessories relatively simple and focus on the trace amounts of black in it.

I complimented the dress with a black fringe shoulder bag, from forever 21, and my go-to strappy heels.

I finished off the look with a little edge and added bold blue lips and blue-mirrored aviators.

This look is for one of those days that you just want to relax, feel free and unrestricted but still look cute. I was out in Vegas on this day and was ready to hit the buffet to do some damage lol. Given, I still had activities to do for the rest of the day and wanted to be cute and not look as stuffed as I planned to be.

So, I decided to wear a sweetheart corset from Fashion to Figure. You may think, corset to a buffet? YES. But, instead of wearing it with something tight fitting I paired it with a loose fitting maxi skirt and flowy floral kimono. These two items complimented the piece and gave this outfit the ultimate carefree look and also added tons of boho chicness. So…Buffet anyone?

Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what you want to wear. Especially when the place you’re going is really important, or it’s a certain type of crowd, OR it is a delicious unlimited brunch and champagne buffet!! lol You want to be comfortable since you’ll probably be stuffing your face, but you want to be cute too right?? lol

This outfit ended up being the best of both worlds! I decided to wear these super cute mint colored skinny’s that I got from @fashionavenueplus (which is one of my faves right now) with a white sheer-lace peplum top. It was perfect, because it cute and sexy, yet it covered the stomach area…which was going to be nice and full. I finished off the look with nude strappy heels, a simple gold watch and a metallic leopard clutch for a little edge. I absolutely loved the way the look came together. I felt fun,’ summerish’, feminine and most importantly comfortable ;)

Work to Happy Hour

Work wear…weekend wear…pretty different right? Well, not necessarily! I love picking those pieces that transition well in different environments. For instance, (hence the title) I wore this dress to work on Friday and then straight to Happy Hour. I just removed the cardigan to lighten up the look. I also could have added  some bracelets, a brighter lipstick or a different color heel to give the look a fun spin. I didn’t have any of that on hand so I had to work with what I had. I could also wear this look to the beach over my bathing suit with some flats and a big slouchy bag. This summer try to look for multifunctional pieces that you wear to fit the many things going on in your life!
