Boom Boom.

Happy Monday ladies! Hope all is well and you are in high spirits for the upcoming week! These past couple of weeks I have definitely been having a blast. My friend Shanise, of Snazzy Shanise,  just recently got married and this was our night at the Boom Boom Room  leading up to her summer nuptials. To just say I had fun would be an understatement! All I can say is that we definitely enjoyed ourselves and our entertainment ;) I opted for black and leopard with gold accents and finished the look off with pink toes, nails and lips. Simple fit, but still showed I was ready to be out on the town with the pop of color and sexy printed tights. Many congrats to my beautiful friend! So happy for you girl…may God continue to bless your union ;)

Much love,
Tiff

Top: Thrifted | Jeans: Rainbow |Heels: Zara | Clutch: Vintage

Hey loves! Happy Monday…hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for what this week has to bring! Ok, so these past couple of weeks I’ve been going a  little crop crazy. But hey...what the heck? It’s liberating! I’m loving the fact that us plus size, thick, curvy, voluptuous, (whatever you want to call it lol) women are not caring what others think and are just doing and wearing what makes us happy ;) So, this night I was going out for a few drinks and appetizers with my fam and friends. I decided to wear some dark fade skinny jeans with a thrifted print top that I tied at the waist. I finished the look off with a pop of color from my zara heels, vintage clutch and pink lip. I loved how it all came together, definitely felt ready for a night on the town with my boo’s ;)

Ps.
Start gathering all of your summer looks. This years ‘End of Summer Contest’ is coming soon!!!

Chill Out.

8.08.2013

Hey ladies! Two post in one week…I’m on a roll! LOL. Anyhoo…last Friday I was off of work and decided I wanted to just chill out and get a massage and some sushi…and that’s exactly what I did ;) We, as people, move so much that I find myself moving just as much on rest days as I do on work days. My whole idea was to just really RELAX and enjoy my day off, so I definitely didn’t want to wear anything tight or binding. So I reached for this casual, yet fun and colorful maxi dress that I got from Rainbow for like $19.99. Threw on some flats, chic shades and big bag and I was set to go! I love that STYLE is not about how much you $pend but what you do with what you have ;)

Beach Bummin.

8.05.2013

Last weekend me and my girls hit up Venice Beach for some much needed fun and relaxation. And what is an official girls day without like 3,000 calories of good food and entertainment? Lol. It’s probably not the best idea to wear a crop top on the day you decided to stuff your face but I figured hey...who gone say something? Lol. Sooooo I did just that. I wore a black and white striped ¾ sleeve crop top with back cut outs, my DIY distressed shorts and finished off everything with a 90’s style round hat…for a fun and casual look.

I really liked how it came out, but I must admit that I never really wore a crop top without some type of jacket. So this was new for me, yet exciting and liberating to not care what the next person thinks and just do me.  If you are iffy on trying out the crop top trend, check out some tips from Stylish Curves (below) On how to make the trend work for you ;)

The Room.

Dress: Gifted | Heels: Thrifted | Clutch: F21 | Lip color: NYX Medusa

Hey ladies! Hope you had a good weekend and are rejuvenated for the Monday grind ;) As for me, I had a great weekend celebrating my boo Ebony’s birthday. We ended up going to a lounge called The Room, in Santa Monica, to celebrate. For our night on the town, I decided to wear a leopard dress that was gifted to me from my friend for my birthday (loved it :D), nude heels, an oversized clutch (also gifted) and bold dark lips. It’s been so long that I wore a bodycon dress, that I forgot how much I actually do like them. Definitely a way to celebrate them curves!!

DIY: Bandeau Top

7.15.2013

So, the other night I was in a DIY mood and decided to try a sexy DIY Bandeau Top tutorial that I saw on Kendra’s Beauty Corner. She posted the top on her IG @beautifulkendra a few months ago and I decided I had to try it. Super perfect for these hot summer nights and, not to mention, simple. Who says your favorite fall scarves have to lay by the wayside when summer comes along? Lol. I decided to go for an animal print scarf, a long maxi skirt and a cropped jean vest. I finished the look off with a chunky gold necklace, large envelope clutch, black flats and a shimmery pink lip. I definitely want to try this look again with some different prints throughout the summer. If you want to try it out for yourself, check out Kendra’s YouTube tutorial below! Don’t forget to tell me how you like it J

How to Tighten pores Using Egg White Face Mask
Egg white masks can reduce and tighten your pores effectively at home. Homemade egg white face masks also have cleansing and acne fighting properties. This is a quick and simple egg white and lemon face tightening mask. Combine one egg white with 5 drops of lemon juice and just a dab of mayonnaise to create a pore-shrinking facial mask. Apply this egg white pore tightening mask to your face, spreading it under your chin as well. Allow it to dry and apply a new layer. Rinse off after 20 minutes and pat dry.

This homemade egg white and lemon juice facial mask will tighten pores on nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin and give you a temporary face lift naturally. It also works to help reduce oil production, and reduces the appearance of blemishes.

Pore Tightening Honey Facial Mask to Reduce Huge Pores on Face
Honey mask is one of the best and simplest moisturizing homemade face masks to shrink open pores on face naturally. Honey is a natural cleanser that helps tighten the skin pores. Honey oatmeal and egg make a moisturizing, nourishing and tightening facial mask. Beat the eggs whites in a bowl until frothy and add honey, glycerin, and oatmeal in to it. Mix the ingredients well, until you have a smooth and consistent paste. Apply this paste to your face and leave on until it dries. You should feel a pulling and tightening sensation while the facial mask is on.

Apple Cider Vinegar on How to Tighten your Pores
Apple cider vinegar is the best natural way for reducing the size of facial pores. As an excellent natural astringent, apple cider vinegar can close the pores, making them appear smaller. To cleanse your skin and tighten the pores, dilute apple cider vinegar with water and use it as a toner. Vinegar naturally tightens the skin, which is ideal for those who suffer from enlarged pores and acne.
Homemade Avocado Pore Shrinking Facial Mask
Mash the flesh of one ripe avocado and add 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Now, wash it off with lukewarm water.

A natural humectant, honey, both moisturizes and cleanses the skin. The combination of avocado and honey in this natural pore tightening face mask will soften and tighten the skin and helps in refining the skin pores. This homemade facial mask also reduces wrinkles and aging spots, remove excess oil from the skin, and moisturize and replenish dry skin.

Coffee Face Mask to Tighten Up Skin Pores
Make a coffee facial mask to tighten pores and remove excess oil from the face. For preparing this homemade facial mask, take 2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee (or used grinds), 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, and 3 tablespoons milk (whole), heavy cream, or yogurt. Mix the ingredients well and apply the paste to your clean face and neck. Massage mask into your skin and allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off thoroughly.

This soothing natural face mask made of coffee grounds and cocoa powder will makes your pores tighten up. The coffee grinds will help reduce puffiness and swelling, while the cocoa, honey and milk will add moisture to your skin. Apply to the face regularly, and your pores will shrink over time.

Banana Facial Mask for Shrinking Large Pores
Banana mask will help to tighten the large pores on face naturally. Using a fork, mash the over-ripe banana until almost smooth, and combine it with a tablespoon each of orange juice and honey. Apply this pore shrinking mask to the face and let the mask on for 5 to 7 minutes to close and tighten the pores on face. Rinse the face with warm water, and follow it with cold water. Rinsing with cold water after washing tightens the pores to seal them off from further exposure. You should use this banana pore-tightening facial mask twice per week to reduce the huge facial pores effectively.

Cucumber Pore Tightening Facial Mask
To make this skin tightening face mask, grate a medium-sized cucumber and extract its juice. Mix it with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and form a paste. Apply this pore reducing mask evenly over your face until it dries and tightens around the skin. Cucumber is a natural astringent that helps dries up the oil present in the pores and tightens the pores, too. Baking soda is an alkaline substance that can slough off dead skin cells from the face, as well as help tighten the pores and make them appear smaller.

Alternatively, ice can be used as a home remedy to reduce the size of large pores on face. Rubbing an ice cube on your face causes pores to tighten up, giving your skin a firmer appearance. The cold temperature of the ice contracts and tightens the skin, resulting in the closure and reduction of the size of the skin pores. This ice cube remedy works best after a thorough cleansing of the skin using the above said homemade skin care face mask recipes.

Ok, so we all know that smaller pores equal a smoother appearance in skin. Sad to say, I’ve never taken REALLY good care of my skin nor made any huge strides to keep it looking good. But as time passes, I want to invest more time in it and change some things up. So, I started looking for different skin care tips and masks that I could try at home that are easy and effective, and I came across these super simple pore refining masks that I thought I should share! Most masks listed have ingredients that are probably already on your grocery list and does the job in 20 minutes or less. I think I’m going to try the Banana facial mask this weekend. Let me know if you decide to try any and if you have any skin care tips or routines you’d like to share…please do comment!
