Heavy Rotation.

5.29.2014

Ok, so as you can probably already tell these shorts are going to be in heavy rotation this summer! I love how easy they are but still speaks volumes when it comes to personal style. I wore this OOTD for a family bbq on Memorial Day. I paired them with a sheer and sleeveless orange top and nude flats. And that’s about it! Very chill & very comfortable. I can’t wait to make more! I want to start experimenting with coloring and customizing too. So, we’ll see. Stay tuned!

Whole Fit from the Thrift: Coral

4.14.2014

Sweater & Shorts: Thrifted | Heels: Rainbow | Purse: @Fashionaveplus
Coral is one of my absolute favorite colors. So when I saw this coral slouchy crocheted sweater for just $2, at the Goodwill, I snatched it up immediately! Lol. It’s something about a slightly oversized sweater that I love. It gives a cute casual look, but resonates relaxed & comfy as well.  I decided to pair the sweater with my DIY distressed shorts. I thrifted these jeans as well, for $2 at Quality Thrift, then cut and bleached them up. So essentially, this is a “Whole Fit from the Thrift” with exception of my accessories. The thrift store is so bomb.com. Where else could you find an outfit on-trend for less than $5?? Nowhere! That’s where! ;)

Much love,

Beach Bummin.

8.05.2013

Last weekend me and my girls hit up Venice Beach for some much needed fun and relaxation. And what is an official girls day without like 3,000 calories of good food and entertainment? Lol. It’s probably not the best idea to wear a crop top on the day you decided to stuff your face but I figured hey...who gone say something? Lol. Sooooo I did just that. I wore a black and white striped ¾ sleeve crop top with back cut outs, my DIY distressed shorts and finished off everything with a 90’s style round hat…for a fun and casual look.

I really liked how it came out, but I must admit that I never really wore a crop top without some type of jacket. So this was new for me, yet exciting and liberating to not care what the next person thinks and just do me.  If you are iffy on trying out the crop top trend, check out some tips from Stylish Curves (below) On how to make the trend work for you ;)

Memorial Day.

5.29.2013

Top: Fashion Island | Shorts: Thrifted/DIY |Flats: Rainbow | Purse: Thrifted |Shades: Ebay

Ok ladies, so I am SO proud of myself! I had absolutely NOTHING to wear this Memorial Day. I really wanted to wear some shorts but I don’t own any because I can rarely find shorts that fit me the way that I want and that I feel are flattering. So all of a sudden I felt inspired to start a little DIY project and make my own distressed shorts! I pulled out some jeans that I thrifted for $1 and pulled up a Youtube video (good ole’ trusty Youtube) lol. 15 minutes and one wash later, I had the best shorts ever! They fit perfectly and I cut them right where I wanted them, that was most flattering to me. I paired it with a graphic tank top, oversized shades, and some cute flats. I kept my hair simple with loose waves and threw on a pink lip…and was set to go! Don’t sleep on the thrift yall! I have a feeling I will be shopping there all summer lol. I hope you had a great holiday! What did yall wear?

Much love,
