Head Poncho

11.18.2015

Poncho | Pant: Charlotte Russe Plus | Shoes: Previously owned | Hat: Forever 21 | Necklace: Burlington Coat Factory | Purse: DD's

The poncho is definitely an IT piece for fall and one of the easiest trends to rock. It instantly gives a modern feel yet is relaxed and carefree. I love this poncho from Rainbow Shops. It's super comfy, budget friendly and the tribal trim and fringe detailing is everything.

You can wear this look to a weekend lunch date, brunch or even work. Wherever you decide to to go, your style will scream effortless and chic with this piece.

5 Easy Fall Trends

10.23.2015

So, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all done it…what is that? Go online with every good intention on finding the current trends, only to find weird futuristic runway looks that we cannot wear on the day to day. Which kind of leaves you wondering…what do I wear? So, today I am going to share with you 5 easy fall trends that you can incorporate into your everyday wardrobe!

All Black
“Glam Goth” as People Stylewatch calls it…is definitely on trend this fall. Where “playful styles are taking a break to let edgy, dramatic looks reign supreme”. The key to this look is to mix it up with all kinds of textures. Think: a black lace top with a leather jacket and a suede pencil skirt.

70’s Glam
This look is all about boho vibes and old school fabrics and prints. Think: plaid, suede fringe bell bottoms, high waisted jeans, fur or shag coats and tons of layering.

This faux fur vest from Ashley Stewart is the perfect layering piece that would add instant glam to any outfit.

Minimalist
The minimalist is all about exactly what it says…being minimal! Simple structured pieces does the job with these looks. Think: Solid colored pieces, simple silhouettes, very little to no detailing, no prints or patterns.

Duster Coat
The duster coat is a definite must-have this season. Throw it over your favorite little black dress or dress it down as a layering piece with your boyfriend jeans.

Pop-up Plus carries richly colored duster coats that adds sophistication to almost any look.

Mixing prints
Remember when we used to have to match from head to toe? Those days are long gone! It’s all about playing with different prints, patterns and colors! Think: stripes and polka dots, florals and window pane prints. If you are new to mixing prints, stay in the same color family to add some unity and cohesiveness to your look.

Hello beautiful people. I hope you are officially over the Monday blues and ready to tackle the rest of the week. I am here to share with you my next fall look in my 3-look jean series. This outfit incorporates an item that is definitely on trend right now...THE VEST. It’s the ultimate layering piece and makes any outfit a little more interesting. You could pair it with your favorite turtleneck or even a long sleeve mock dress. Let me know how you like this look and your favorite layering piece this fall.

Tip: The thrift store is usually filled with vests of different colors and textures. Start off there, if you want to try out the trend but not spend too much.

Boho BADA$$

10.04.2015

Ok, so I decided to stop whining about the heat and whip out some Fall looks for you beautiful people. Over, the next few posts I am going to show you a few Fall inspired outfits using what every woman should have in her closet...

A great pair of jeans that is! Especially a pair that hugs your curves in all the right places ;) And seriously, this is exactly what this pair does from YMI Jeans. They are literally designed with contoured seams to help you achieve a better looking butt and a more flattering and firmer look. I don't know about you but I am HERE for that honey! So, I decided to come up with three looks, to share with you over the next week, or so, on how you can style your favorite pair of jeans this Fall. If I had to name this first look I would call her a "Edgy Boho Babe".

It's something free and liberating about this look to me. Maybe is the purple hair (if you didn't notice :) with the wide brim hat and round frames? But nonetheless, I felt I like I was serving some Boho realness ok?? My Favoriteeeeeee faux leather jacket from Lane Bryant gives this look some edge and off course distressed jeans always kick your bad a$$ meter up a notch or two.

A mini backpack always makes life easier and leopard is my best friend, and that was before she was popular! Let me know how you liked this look and stay tuned for my next fall jean inspired look or jean inspired fall look...hey, you know what I mean ;)

Much love,
Tiff

Relatively Simple

9.27.2015

One time for an entire outfit for $30...that's NOT a dress! It's still in the high 80's and 90's in CA even though we are officially in Fall. So, to whip out "Fall" ootd's has honestly been a little challenging with this heat. So, you will probably be seeing a lot of "Fall Transition" outfits until this weather actually transitions lol.

Even though today's look is relatively simple, I am absolutely in love with it for that exact reason! Nobody wants a high fuss outfit in this heat. A lightweight drawstring tank and perfect fitting jeans does the job. This entire look came from Rainbow with the exception of my boots that I pulled from the archives of my closet lol and shades that I got from the Del Amo fashion center.

I think the boots gave the look a little edge and ventured away from your norm and also added some Fall flair. Girl you couldn't tell me nothing in my Rainbow outfit. I was serving some Jenny from the block realness honey! ;)

Ease Into Fall

8.23.2015

Ok, let's face it. Summer is almost over! The heat may remain, in some places, but the fashion is definitely changing. So as your top retail stores switch gears, in preparation for Fall, here are a few tips to make the transition a little easier.

A cute backpack in place of your traditional purse can give you a fun and carefree look during the summer months, but can also serve a dual purpose as it carries your essentials or school books in the Fall.

A pair of neutral booties like these from Charlotte Russe look great in the summer with a boho style dress or a pair of cute shorts, but can also transition well into fall months with your favorite pair of dark colored skinny jeans.

A lace box tee is light and airy enough to wear during the heat but is a great base for any fall items like oxblood skinnies, olive green pants or a floor length skirt.

So play it up and mix and match, but most of all have fun with it!
