This weekend I had the privilege of attending the BLM Lunch Lab. BLM, which stands for Bloggers Like Me, is a community of women that are bloggers, business women, soloprenuers, girlfriends etc. The group members share ideas, throw events, and support each other all the way around. They even wrote a book together! I am proud to say that I am a member of BLM and the organization was founded by a very good friend of mine, the gorgeous Leslie Young.

This day, we had the pleasure of discussing some pretty juicy blog business with Social Media expert Natalie Gouche. This was truly a treat. Not only is this woman beautiful and down to earth, she is full of knowledge and fun! To say I had a great time and learned a ton would be an understatement.

I wanted to look professional and polished but not too stuffy. So, I decided to wear my favorite pair of jeans (that I never plan on letting go lol) and a loose fitting white top, that I tied in a side knot to create some shape and edge.

I finished off the look with a lightweight blazer with mesh sleeves and my go-to strappy heels. Finished product? Exactly what I was going for! Isn’t it lovely when that happens?

It’s always great to see friends doing awesome things and blossoming in life. Many congrats on a successful event my friend and thank you Natalie for all your nuggets of knowledge! One thing that I will always take with me from this workshop is “Progress over Perfection”. I needed to hear that! Thank you!

BLM Girl.

Last week I had the privilege of going to the first ever BLM (LA) Event.  For yall that don’t know “Bloggers Like Me” (better known as BLM) is a Facebook group, started by one of my good friends Leslie Young of Fashion Du Jour, that provides a supportive environment for bloggers dedicated to the positive exchange of ideas, tips and advice...

After getting to know each other on FB, it was decided that we should take it a step further and meet up! The rest is history! Here is my look for night and some of the great people that I was blessed to meet :) I went for all black, a mustard blazer/jacket and leopard pumps. I really can't believe that summer is already here! We are getting that perfect Cali weather right now, so I am taking full advantage. I wanted to wear something cool, light and casual this day so I reached in my closet for this thrifted number that I got a while back. I love the bright tangerine/coral type color and fabric. It's a little oversized, but nothing a cute little belt cant fix...and for under $2 who's  really complaining?! Not me! I swear...I'll forever love the thrift store!

Oh and before I forget, I found this cute little necklace from my friend Leslie over at Fashion Du Jour. She featured the designers, Demabiz, on her blog and I had to jump on it! They have SO many cute pieces yall and they are super affordable. So affordable, that I have a few more necklaces waiting in the cut to debut..lol. Check them out!
