Dress | Heels

* This blog post was made in collaboration with GS Love and the fashion used in this post was provided by gslovesme.com. As always, all opinions are my own.

Stripes are hands down one of my favorites prints (with the exception of leopard of course lol). I think I love it so much because it's simple and minimalistic, yet extremely bold and eye catching! It also serves as an awesome base for print mixing and color blocking. The dress that I am wearing in this look is from GS Love. And, quite frankly, there is nothing simple about it! The stripes demand attention on their own, but add the ultra high split and it's like BAM! Here I am! I decided to add a pop of color with some sexy lace-up heels and finish off the look with a fur clutch and simple gold accessories.

This dress is perfect for a night on the town, event or even a birthday dress. Wherever you go, you are for sure to turn heads!

Top | Jeans | Heels| Clutch
Hello loves! Here is a little mid-week inspiration for you all! Fall is quickly approaching us and I wanted to show you a light and fun outfit that will transition perfectly into the fall and still work for the final days of summer. Nude is one of my favorite colors and it just goes so great with a good pair of jeans. I played up my look with a hint of snakeskin with my heels and clutch. I hope you enjoyed  this look and happy hump day! It's almost Friday ;)

Much love,

African Style

8.21.2016

Top: Size 3X | Jeans: Size 22 | Heels: Size 10 | Bag
The Dashiki trend is one that simply can't be ignored. Celebrities from Chris Brown to Beyonce are rocking them, from everyday people all across my Instagram feed. I definitely, want to get an authentic dashiki but in the meantime I decided to try out the trend with a less expensive option from Rainbow.

This dashiki Manhattan print tunic is $14.99 and comes in a beautiful red coral color as well as yellow. It's polyester and spandex, so it completely different from your typical dashiki material, but the awesome print still rings true. I decided to pair the tunic with white jeans and yellow laced-up heels for a fun and bright look. And I love the way it came together! Tip: Let your dashiki take the focal point by wearing all solid colors with the rest of your ensemble...and you will be ready to slay!

Ps. I named this blog post African style because the dashiki originates out of West Africa, but also because my mother says "African style" almost every other day for one reason or another and I think it's hilarious! Love you mom ;)

Slay Grey

7.28.2016

Dress made top | Jeans: Similar | Heels | Bag
Have you ever had a dress that was maybe a little too tight or a little too short and decided you couldn't wear it? Wrong! I used to have that thinking and ver the years, I have truly learned to remix my clothing and make it work for me.

I got this grey dress from Bella B. Rose Boutique and I think it is ultra cute but, unfortunately for me, it didn't cover my butt. So, I decided not to let a good thing go to waste and I made it into a top by adding some distressed jeans. I picked up the darker tones by adding a pop of red with my lipstick an heels and viola! A perfectly great way to slay grey!

How do you get more out of your closet?

* I recommend sizing up 1-2 sizes or order your nornal size and rock as a top like I did!

Top made dress: Posh Shoppe| Skirt | Heels

I saw a meme that said “Mondayest Tuesday Ever” and I just cracked up laughing because those are my sentiments exactly! It’s super-hot in Cali and all I want to do is eat ice cream, drink iced coffee (Jack in the Box mocha iced coffee is so delicious) and catch up on my favorite Netflix shows. I still haven’t seen season 3 or 4 of OITNB, so I don’t know what life is right now lol.
SO just in case you are having some Tuesday blues I wanted to cheer you up with some bright hues and tons of flirty vibes! I love skater skirts because they are super flattering and extra comfortable. You can pair yours with a cute crop top or something off-the-shoulder, like I did, to create the perfect summer look! I am looking forward to wearing loads of off-shoulder tops, maxi skirts and dresses –and definitely some cute cut-off shorts.
What are you looking forward to wearing this summer?
Much love,
Tiff

Navy Baby

Dress | Heels | Backpack | Oversized Shirt/Duster: Thrifted | Hair: Save $10 - Code 120910
One color that, I can honestly say, I do not have enough of is navy blue. Which I am utterly confused about, because every recollection I have of wearing the rich color was a complete hit! So, when I saw this dress from Fierce and Kurvee Boutique, I jumped all over it. I loveee the flattering fit and am an ultimate fan of the midi length. I paired the dress with camel colored accessories for a sophisticated and nautical feel.

One option, which I tried, is pairing a complimenting duster, jacket or oversized shirt with your dress. I lucked up and found this one while thrifting. This print is everything! And matched the dress perfectly. Hands down, this pairing is definitely one of my favorites so far this year ;)

Chill in Style

6.10.2015

Who says your "chill days" can't still be ultra cute? Some days sweats and a tee are much needed, on other days you still want to look cute and put together without hauling out the shapewear and tall heels.

This look is perfect for your weekend style or even a casual day date.

The monochromatic colors of the top and jeans, from Charlotte Russe Plus, creates unity while the jean vest and heels add texture and flair.

Vest: Thrifted | Top | Jeans | Heels | Necklace

I hope that you enjoyed this look my friends! And have fun chilling in style ;)

TrailBlazer

5.03.2015

Blazer (similar): Charlotte Russe Plus | Bermuda Shorts: Charlotte Russe Plus | Tee (similar): Charlotte Russe Plus | Heels: GoJane

This lightweight blazer from Charlotte Russe Plus is right on trend for Spring. It's bright yellow hue and sleek fit polishes up any outfit.

I decided to pair my blazer with their Refuge Bermuda Destroyed Shorts and basic v-neck pocket tee. I finished off the look with my leopard GoJane sandals and simple gold accessories.

This look screams comfort and is super chic at the same time. If you want to wear shorts, but still have a "dressed up" look, add a blazer! you can't go wrong!

Much love,
Tiff @LaceNLeopard
