Down nearly 100lbs! Check out Kimberly's amazing weight loss story!!

Much love,
Tiff

What motivated you to lose weight and how much have you lost?

My motivation was first me not being able to be active without getting tired and having no energy. Secondly, I was not happy with the way I look. I was too young and felt so self-conscious.  In 2011 I weighed 280 and today my current weight is 183 so its not a overnight process it takes time to drop it and even harder to keep it off!

What did you do to lose weight?

I first started taking phentermine pills that I feel is now the absolute worst way! The pills caused me to over eat when I stop taking them and gained all the weight back. I then found the only way to drop the weight was taking it back to the roots Cardio & Healthy eating! I downloaded the "lose it" app to count my calories for my desired goal weight and begin walking everyday. I set a goal to walk an extra mile each day. I once walked 10 miles in one day! I did not join a gym until a year later after my weight loss.

What are some of your favorite meals, food items or snacks when dieting?

My favorite meals are..
Tilapia fish baked with broccoli and brown rice
Tyson precooked grill chicken strips, which I eat on a whole grain tortillas with lettuce and low fat shredded cheese
Special K cereal with a banana
Oatmeal with blueberries
I snack on fruits and baby carrot sticks.
I learned that all those 100 calorie snacks are not good for the body due to artificial sugar, gluten, and fructose. I just recently this 2014 year cutting out all quick package snacks. I traded them in for grapes, oranges, apples, strawberries, etc.
Lastly removing all juices and soda out and moving in water water and water!

Did you follow any weight loss “rules”? (ie. no eating after 5, no carbs, etc)

Only weight loss rule I try to maintain is not going over my calorie intake.

In your opinion, what is the hardest thing about weight loss?

Hardest thing with weight loss was balancing my social life with my weight loss journey. Friends and family have many events that cause temptation with my eating habits. Its hard to resist soul food, pastries, and restaurant dinners.

What are some of the joys of being at a healthier weight?

My number one joy is fashion! I can wear heels without having painful feet due to being overweight the pressure and strain on my feet. Plus, a bigger variety of clothes to choose from..hehe

With the birthday girl @msstreettherapy ;)

Hey boo’s! Hope all is well and the week is going good for you ;) This past weekend was pretty chill, I just hung out with family & friends and relaxed for the most part. I also celebrated my friend Tyra’s birthday at LA Live. Everything was super packed because of the playoff game, but we ended up finding a cool little Mexican spot to eat and have a few drinks. And I’m glad we did, because everything was delicious! I decided to keep my outfit like my mood…chill but fun. I wore a black dress with sheer paneling that I used as a top with my dark blue skinny jeans. I finished off the look with a splash of my FAVORITE print, gold accessories, gold studded bag and light brown heels. I had a great time…ladies night is always THEE best! Happy birthday boo and my God bless you with MANY more! xoxo ;)

Much love,
Tiff

Top, Skinny Jeans & Purse: Fashion Ave | Heels: Rainbow | Necklace: Fashion Trend | Watch: Michael Kors

Hey Ladies! I hope that you had a great weekend and are enjoying this Martin Luther King Jr. Day ;) So, a couple of weeks ago I celebrated my gorgeous cousin's birthday at The Federal downtown Long Beach. Since we were going to a bar I wanted to look nice but not be too overdressed. So, I chose to wear a sheer black top with lace detailing, grey and black stonewashed jeans and black suede heels. I completed the look with chunky gold accessories, gold studded bag, neon nails and a bright pink lip. To say I had a good time would be an understatement. Beautiful people, good drinks, good vibes...who's complaining? ;)

Much love,
Tiff

Winter Lookbook #3

1.18.2014

Hey boo’s! So. This is the 3rd and final look from my Winter Lookbook. The other two looks were on the dressier side, so I wanted to do a more everyday casual but chic look. Hence, I named this look “Casual Chic.” I decided to wear a printed black and white cardigan with faux leather paneled leggings. I finished the look off with a pop of color from my zara heels, a gold studded statement bag and riri-woo on the lips. I loved how this look came together and it was super comfortable all at the same time. Cute + Comfortable? Can’t beat that with a stick! LOL I hope you enjoyed this Lookbook and be expecting many more to come!

Much Love,
Tiff

Winter Lookbook #2

1.16.2014

Hey Boo’s! Hope the week is going great for you and if it’s not so great, don’t trip, FRIDAY is near! So, if you haven’t checked out my Winter Lookbook just yet, here is the 2nd look from the video titled “Edgy Business Woman”. When I was putting this look together I had a vision of a woman making major moves in the corporate environment, but still loved to look edgy and youthful. I decided to wear a burgundy collar top (this color is really big this season and probably every winter season lol ) matched with a grey skirt with faux leather paneling. The faux leather paneling, gold accessories and gold plated belt gave the outfit just the right amount of edge I was looking for. I completed the look with a black envelope clutch, black strappy pumps and my favorite half tinted shades ;) I hope you enjoyed this look and If you haven’t visited my Youtube channel yet, check me out! www.youtube.com/lacenleopard

I asked, you answered and now its time to deliver! A couple of weeks ago, I asked you on Instagram and Facebook if you wanted me to incorporate more weight loss inspiration, challenges and tips on the blog and the response was unanimously YES! So to kick off my new segment on the blog, #LNLWeightLoss, here is Fenise's inspiring story!

Much love,
Tiff

What motivated you to lose weight and how much have you lost?

I have never been on a diet before and honestly I just had nothing to lose! It was the best decision of my life and I’m very proud I did it, but losing the weight was the easy part. I struggle with keeping the weight off. I won’t give up without a fight though. I lost 90 pounds but gained 30 of it back due to a health issue.  I lost it in 9 months which wasn't the best idea so this time around I’m just doing it at a slower paste.

What did you do to lose weight?

I just made better food choices and worked out at the gym. I didn't do anything special.

What are some of your favorite meals, food items or snacks when dieting?

Spinach and fruits were my favorite. No rice, soda, bread. None of that stuff. I also ate a lot of special K products, but if it wasn't that, I ate fish and chicken with a salad on the side.

Did you follow any weight loss "rules"? (i.e. no eating after 5, no carbs, etc.?)

I ate smaller portions and didn't eat after 7.

In your opinion, what is the hardest thing about weight loss?

Hardest thing about weight loss is keeping the weight OFF! Also having faith in yourself. I didn't struggle with temptation until I was on my diet.

What are some of the joys of being at a healthier weight?

My skin is much healthier and clothes fit and look better.

Winter Lookbook #1

1.13.2014

Hey Boo's! So I am SUPER excited to announce my FIRST Lookbook is now live on Youtube!! This is my first look of three, titled "Sophisticated Chic." For this look I decided to pair a flowy salmon colored top with a fitted burgandy midi skirt. I completed the look with nude strappy sandals- to add a little sexiness, a metallic leopard clutch - for the perfect amount of print and a fur collar - for a splash of pizzazz. I love the way this look came together and the way the colors complimented each other. Check out my Youtube channel to see what other looks I came up with. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to subscribe for more videos!

Mirror Love.

1.09.2014

Hey boo’s! I hope the new year is off to a good start for you! It’s the 2nd week into 2014 and whether you made resolutions or not, don’t forget that you could do anything you set your mind to; And bettering yourself should be a constant goal, not just the first 3 months of the year ;) I bring this up because I constantly try to revisit this same goal: To do more things out of LOVE.

That’s why when I saw this sweater that had the words “love” written on it, mirrored, I felt that it was perfect for me to bring in the New Year with. I decided to pair it with some acid stonewash jeans and my FAVORITE Zara heels. I finished off the look with chunky gold jewelry, midi rings, sparkly eyes and nude lips. I loved the way the look came out, and feel like it was “Edgy with a message” lol. I wish you all the best, as always, and I’ll leave you with this:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…

Much love,
Tiff
